MOJO HD UNVEILS A COMEDIC TAKE ON THE LATEST IN TECHNOLOGY: MOJO’s THE CIRCUIT – THE CHANNEL’S FIRST WEB ONLY SERIES -STARTS APRIL 15, IN HI-DEF ONLINE
LAS VEGAS, Apr. 14 - MOJO HD, the popular high definition television network that has delivered cult-status shows such as Three Sheets, is making waves once again with the launch of its first web-only series titled MOJO’s THE CIRCUIT. The 10-episode humorous original series which can be seen in high definition only on www.mojohd.com, was created especially for the savvy tech consumer and is packed with a wealth of tech and gadget news from all over the world. Delivered in a dry and irreverent style by host Deepak Ananthapadmanabha (yup, that’s his real name, but we call him D:Pak), it’s tech news delivered with a decidedly MOJO edge. The pilot episode will be available April 15. New episodes will be added on a weekly basis with very topical news. Akamai will showcase the program at its booth at NAB in Las Vegas.
Not only is the series about the latest cutting edge technology, but it also is one of the first projects to use the most advanced HD video streaming on the market. With H.264 standard video support in Adobe Flash Player 9 and Adobe Flash Media Interactive Server 3 software, viewers can experience MOJO's THE CIRCUIT in high-quality HD video right on their computer screens regardless of their platform.
To ensure a high-quality user experience Akamai’s streaming services, built on Adobe Flash Media Server 3, will be used. Akamai has architected its platform to offer an industry-leading solution that content owners must leverage to successfully enable an HD web experience. MOJO HD’s player and the microsite was designed and built by AgencyNet, MOJO HD’s digital agency of record.
From the award-winning team at Creative Bubble productions, MOJO’s THE CIRCUIT is an off-beat tutorial and destination for guys who love technology, but who don’t take it all too seriously. From the craziest hand-held devices, to solutions that are of questionable market value, in the field with correspondents including tech expert Emery Wells (Macbreak) and in studio with host D:Pak, MOJO’s THE CIRCUIT gives its unconventional perspective on the most obscure and the most obvious gadgets and developments. In the first episode alone, the series finds teeny-weeny portable projectors, a new color-coded germ-indicator for toilet seats, fluorescent green pigs in Taiwan and New Yorkers at the Apple store who confess their love for shiny, skinny things.
