CHEERS! MOJO HD'S THREE SHEETS WITH ZANE LAMPREY
RETURNS FOR THIRD SEASON
Zane's World-Wide Pub-Crawl Includes Stops in South America, Asia and Europe
New York, March 3 - Who's got the best job in the world? Comedian Zane Lamprey claims he does. Who can fault him? Zane is the host of MOJO HD's celebrated international pub crawl and fan-favorite Three Sheets. The 14-episode third season premieres Thursday, April 10 at 9:00pm, ET/PT. Exotic stops on the Three Sheets express include Rio de Janeiro, Chile, Barcelona, Portugal, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh, Argentina, Gibraltar, Bangkok, Cognac, Moscow, Copenhagen, Scotland and Las Vegas, all shown in 1080i high definition.
In just three seasons, Three Sheets has traveled to more than 25 countries over four continents. Lamprey, America's ever ebullient elixir ambassador, is welcomed everywhere by barkeeps, brewers and local patrons. He gets to taste local spirits, wines, ales and beers and learns the history of each culture's favorites. Traditions may differ in Chile, Japan and Moscow, but Three Sheets uncovers something universal. In all countries on Zane's itinerary, people ultimately gather together to unwind, share stories and partake in their favorite cocktails, wines or drafts.
This season Zane and Three Sheets travel to:
Chile - Zane visits Valparaiso and tackles Chilean wines at an oceanfront restaurant at sunset. Then it's off to recreate "Top Gun" by making powerful "Pisco Sours." Zane and friends push a bar owner to the limits while playing drinking games. The lights are dimmed--will they get kicked out?
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.- Zane's playing bartender on a Copacabana beach. He buys a skimpy "mankini" swim suit and learns why Cachaca is the national drink. Will the potent rainforest berry called Acai be strong enough to battle a hangover?
Barcelona, Spain - It's a non-stop party in Barcelona. Zane hits the town sporting a Spanish-style mustache. He refines himself with a Cava excursion, then gets down and dirty tackling sangria, beers, tapas and "firewater" even inventing his own original concoction
Porto, Portugal - Zane drinks with a "Count" and gains membership into two bizarre fraternal orders where he uncovers the truth about Port Wine. Along the way, he imbibes a mysterious drink said to create an "eternal sunshine" in the mind.
Hong Kong, China - Zane gets a medicinal boost from a local herbal doctor, visits one of the world's largest mini-bottle collections and learns about a rare martial art called Drunken Monkey Kung Fu. Will it brace his body for the onslaught of Chinese liquor, local brew and "speed-fist" drinking?
Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam - Zane eats goat udder with ice cold Saigon suds and learns all about "Bia Hoi" ("fresh beer"). He motors around Saigon on the back of a scooter. He is invited to a home where he drinks local vodka and learns Vietnamese drinking lingo. Of course, when it comes to the hard stuff...snakes are once again (as in previous shows) involved. Can a haircut and massage cure a hang-over?
Argentina - Zane tangos his way though one of the world's most prized wine regions also known as the "Paris of South America." He tries a libation known simply as "Santanas." He eats steak with gauchos in the mountains and visits the bustling bar scene of Buenos Aires.
Gibraltar - Zane battles a cave full of real monkeys in search of his mascot, stuffed monkey "Pleepleus." He takes on a cocktail called "J.C.'s" and samples a slew of beers in this tiny British outpost between Spain and Africa affectionately known as "The Rock." Will a greasy English breakfast really cure this hangover?
Bangkok, Thailand - Zane wanders the streets of Bangkok and realizes that to drink in Thailand, you need the right attire. After sampling local beers, Zane scrutinizes the differences between Thai whiskey and rum. He winds up with a "blow-out" at a Muay Thai kickboxing match while kick boxing, Thai style.
Cognac, France - Zane travels to one of the most beautiful regions of France to immerse himself in all things Cognac and learn why this drink has a sophisticated reputation. From blending, to barrel making, to tasting, Zane's stamina is challenged for the first time when he learns that going Three Sheets is taboo in Cognac. He tries to hold it together in order to be accepted into the Cognac Cigar and Cognac Club where Cognac's elite meet.
Moscow, Russia - Zane begins his Russian drinking experience at a traditional bath house where he is steamed, dunked and then flogged with leafy branches. He is then greeted with ice cold beer and endless vodka shots. This prepares him for the ultimate challenge, going shot for shot with locals at a house party and a trip to the woods where he makes moonshine with a Samagon Guru.
Copenhagen, Denmark - Zane begins his Viking adventure where he chills out in an ice bar and goes pint for pint of Carlsberg Beer with young Danish guys. He heads north to Aalborg where he's greeted with a "bang" from the local Cannon Lodge. He parties on a docked ice-breaker-turned Aquavit bar called the Elbjorn. The only way out of this hangover is to go native at the local Polar Bar Club...brrrrrr.
Scotland - Zane travels to Edinburgh where he dresses in a kilt. He sips a dram from a $10,000 bottle of whisky and learns the nuances of scotch by a sword welding man (also in a kilt). Zane's challenged to down haggis with Belhaven beer and participate in a kilt liftin' party. A deep-fat fried Mars bar is the hangover cure for this episode.
Las Vegas - According to Zane, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
