Alsatian, Pig Hell Jam, Cruella! Utter these words in unison and you might be escorted to your local psychiatrist. More likely, you'll be arranging a set-list from your exciting new album "Kick" and be a member of White Rose Movement. The 5 man collective, Finn Vine (vocals, guitar) Jasper Milton (guitar) Owen Dyke (bass) Taxxi (keys) and Ed Harper (drums), lend their name from a resistance group, who opposed Germany's fascist regime during World War II. Thankfully their sound is influenced by an entirely different era. Simon Le Bon eat your heart out "Love is a number" is simultaneously more inspiring and more "80's" than Duran Duran were during the entire decade! "Alsatian" another of their preview tracks (available to download on myspace) has a simply wicked bassline while "Girls in the back", White Rose Movement's latest single, is an instantly likeable pop-ditty – reminiscent of early Elastica, full of driving bass, off-beat guitars and pained vocals.
