The Futureheads

The Futureheads

The harmony loving Futureheads have emerged from humble beginnings and with their second album due for release this month, Sunderland's finest are fast becoming one of the UK's most original rock outfits. After years spent learning and tutoring their craft in a lottery funded youth project building in Sunderland, The Futureheads released a cover of the Kate Bush classic "Hounds of Love" last year and assured themselves a place in rock history: the single was named 2005's best single by the NME. But one hit wonders they ain't, the quartet Barry Hyde (vocals / guitar), David 'Jaff' Craig (bass) Ross Millard (vocals / guitar) and David Hyde (drums) are to release their eagerly awaited second album (named after the media furor surrounding the Munich air disaster of 1958) "News and Tributes" on 29th May. If the new single "Skip to the End" is anything to go by fans will be treated to more off-beat rock and of course their unique brand of vocal gamesmanship.
