Pink

Pink

There we were aimlessly flicking through the US obituaries and suddenly the self-styled "wild girl" of American pop has returned declaring "I'm not dead".  "Stupid Girls" the most recent single off of Pink's fourth album "I'm not dead", in which she mocks the media's obsession with the Paris Hilton's of this world, has been causing a stir across the globe, much to the delight of the outspoken lead singer: "…a lot of people are relieved that someone has finally said something about the mindless epidemic of unhealthy girls out there promoting consumerism and escapism." That said, Pink (whose real name is Alecia Moore) has opted for an overwhelmingly "mainstream" production team and presumably wants people to buy her somewhat escapist album in their droves? And with even more socio-political commentary inspiring folkie tracks like "Dear Mr. President" and the cleverly crafted blues infusion "the one that got away" there's little doubt we will.
