Paolo Nutini

Paolo Nutini

James Blunt better watch out! There's a young husky voiced Glaswegian gaining popularity fast and he sounds absolutely nothing like a prepubescent public school girl. "These Streets" is the title of Paolo Nutini's debut album and is produced by Ken Nelson of Coldplay fame. Released nationwide next month, the album tells disparate stories of the former chip shop worker's move from Glasgow to 'these streets' of London: "The last two or three years of my life are in the songs... Feeling good, feeling down, buying a new pair of shoes, telling a few white lies. It's all there. It's a very personal record, like a diary, really." So, don't be surprised to hear the sounds of Nutini on pub duke boxes nationwide as he's already gained a large following through successful performances at London's Hard Rock Café, BBC Radio Scotland and supporting Jazzy songstress Amy Winehouse. Songs such as `Last Request' and 'Rewind' have enough 'wow' factor to keep you keen.
