MCR exploded on the scene in 2001, delivering a sonic boom of doom and gloom with their debut, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love. Their sophomore follow-up, the major label-backed Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge touched a nerve in a worldwide legion of angst-filled teenyboppers and made MCR one of the world's most worshipped bands. As stars of the emo-hardcore- new goth scene, My Chemical Romance are the subjects of macabre fan fiction, goth grudges and blog feuds. They've rocked festivals, inspired comic books and video games and are the subjects of an obsessive internet rumor mill, which reached full-on hysteria with the 2006 DVD/CD set Life On The Murder Scene, after two band members were injured during a video shoot. 2006's The Black Parade is their bestselling album to date, reaching number two on the US Billboard charts.
