Manic Street Preachers
The once punk but now alternative rock group known as the Manic Street Preachers, burst out of the UK music scene becoming popular for their intelligent and political lyrical style in the late 1990’s. After the debut of their first album, “Generation Terrorists” back in 1991, the band toured around the whole world with exception to the U.S. due to its socialist group reputation. After their cover version of “Suicide Is Painless” became the Manic’ first top ten hit in the UK, they started working on their second album and have continued to thrive ever since. They continue to go from strength to strength with a string of albums which include: “Know your Enemy”, “Forever Delayed”, “Lipstick Traces”, and “Lifeblood”.
