Fronted by Hollywood eccentric Juliette Lewis, this actress-turned-rocker's band actually delivers the heart-pounding, fist-pumping goods. Lewis took her rock and roll ambitions to the stage in 2003, forming The Licks with guitarists Todd Morse and Kemble Walters, later performing with an evolving, revolving cast of band members, including Foo Fighter Dave Grohl. Buoyed by Juliette's raucous Mick Jagger meets Karen O stage shenanigans, the Licks have taken their energetic live show on the road, playing to packed houses throughout the US, Europe and Australia. They've released two albums: 2005's You're Speaking My Language and its follow-up, Four on the Floor, both marked by a fierce mix of alternative, punk, glam and heavy metal that's best played loud.
