James Morrison

James Morrison

Undiscovered" is a soulful and mature debut from James Morrison, but you'd expect nothing less from a 21 year old who cites Otis Redding, Al Green, and Cat Stevens as inspiration. You're bound to hear a lot more of the precocious talents of James Morrison this summer. Born in Rugby and eventually moving to Porth in Cornwall, Morrison's debut is the perfect accompaniment to a cool summer evening. With the up-tempo piano of "Undiscovered" providing the perfect platform for Morrison to showboat his powerful voice, the album continues with melodic and acoustic ballards such as "Better Man" and features the stunning new single "You give me something" (released before the album on the 17th July). Martin Terefe, who's previously worked with other talented vocalist's such as KT Tunstall and Ed Harcourt, deserves applaud for making the most of the lad's quintessentially bluesy and notably ballsy vocals. "Undiscovered" is released on 31st July so prepare yourself for a summer of soul and check out his website.
