Influenced by English bands like the Kinks and Roxy Music, as well as the Welsh rock combo Super Furry Animals, Envy & Other Sins formed in Birmingham, England and came to prominence upon winning a record contract with A&M. Band members Ali Forbes (vocals and guitar), Mark Lees (bass and vocals), Jim Macaulay (drums), and Jarvey Moss (keys and vocals) released their first single with their new label, "Highness," in March of 2008. This was quickly followed with their debut album, We Leave At Dawn, which hit stores at the end of that month. To support their album, Envy & Other Sins are planning stages of a 2008 tour with fellow Brit-rock upstarts the Hoosiers.
