Cord

One part sweet strumming, one part plugged-in power chords, set off with keyboard accents and brought together by the wistful voice of lead singer James Leeds equals the debut of Norfolk, England's Cord. Destined for Coldplay comparisons, Cord does introspective sensitivity well, and their debut album, Other People's Lives Are Not As Perfect As They Seem is getting good press. Cord was signed to Island Records after toiling in the clubs of Norwich for nearly four years, and the faithful, homegrown following they've cultivated is destined to spread.
