Bat For Lashes

Bat For Lashes is Brighton-based Natasha Khan, a singer-songwriter who summons the haunting depth of Kate Bush with the wracked emotion of Cat Power. Born to a prominent Pakistani family, Khan spent much of her youth in Pakistan before studying art, film and music in England. As a student, she produced multi-media sound installations, incorporating film and animation, aspects that still influence her performances. 2006's Fur and Gold is Bat for Lashes' debut.
